AUTOMOTIVE SERVICE ADVISOR – FULL TIME

Salary Range: $65,000 – $75,000

It is a Secure full-time position in a very supportive environment surrounded by a modern, clean and well equipped workshop. We are a Family-Owned Business in Caboolture that enjoys the support of the Repco Authorised Service Nationwide network.

This is a significant role within our business so our ideal applicant will have previous experience as an Automotive Service Advisor, previous experience as an Automotive trade parts interpreter or be a trade qualified motor mechanic with a strong willingness to learn and grow in the role.

The Main Responsibilities of the Service Advisor are:

  • Meeting customers.
  • Taking enquiries and service bookings.
  • Writing up repair orders and delegating work to technicians.
  • Keeping customers up to date with vehicle progress.
  • Liaising with the technicians to complete Estimates for vehicle servicing and repairs.
  • Supporting junior staff and supervising workloads.
  • Gaining authorisation from customers for additional work.
  • Helping bring new business into the service department.
  • Greet customers and provide a friendly and professional first point of contact.
  • Assess customer service requests and recommend appropriate service and repairs.
  • Provide customers with accurate estimates of costs and time required for services and repairs.
  • Schedule service appointments and communicate with customers regarding the status of their repairs.
  • Coordinate with the service department to ensure that repairs are completed on time and to the required standard.
  • Maintain accurate records of service and repair history, parts used and labour hours.
  • Communicate with customers regarding recommended maintenance and other services to improve the performance and longevity of their vehicles.
